My name is Katy Cummings and I have a passion for fashion photography, and recording life with my camera. 

 

I have lived and studied in the UK, Bahrain, Ireland, Kenya and the UAE. Moving from country to country has provided me with an incredibly diverse cultural portfolio which was the genesis for my love of photography. I began to use photography as a canvas for recording the dramatic places and cultures that I have been fortunate enough to experience.

                                                                                                                                                                  

Now based in Horsham, West Sussex, I recently graduated from Stirling University with an honours degree in Journalism, which focused specifically on photojournalism. I have worked on developing my experience in photography through experimentation with style, colour and texture, and have developed a passion for contemporary fashion. My professional experience includes numerous editorials for magazines and commissioned work for retail clients.

 

As a young female photographer, I find that both male and female models are comfortable working with me. I know that nerves can be an issue but I encourage you to contact me beforehand so that we can discuss your targets. Together we will make this a fun experience for you, rather than an intimidating one. Additionally, I will provide plenty of instruction for you from behind the camera if you are not sure about poses etc. so it can be also be a learning experience.
